About me

Salaam! I’m Maryam Yousaf, a Scottish-Pakistani author and Relationship Spiritual Mindset Coach, and I’m passionate about guiding individuals on their journeys of self-discovery. Through my work at @MaryamYousafGetUnstuck, I help women of faith to break free from limiting beliefs and societal expectations, helping them reconnect with their purpose, soul, and Creator.
As an author, I’ve written books for adults and children on various topics, including self-love, relationships, hijab, and women’s empowerment through faith. I aspire to create memorable books that children can carry into adulthood, inspiring self-confidence and helping them conquer self-doubt and fear. I view my writing as a service to the ummah and my connection to the world.
I believe in changing the world one book at a time. I aim to inspire a generation of women and children from diverse backgrounds to believe in themselves, dream big, and strive to be their very best. Children need to see reflections of their faith, ethnicity, and abilities in the books they read. I’m dedicated to portraying the richness of the Muslim faith through my storytelling, promoting anti-racism, and addressing Islamophobia.
In addition to my writing and coaching, I enjoy sharing insights and inspirations on Instagram, where I connect with my community. I am also a co-founder of Amanah Mobile Library.
As a wife and mother of four who inspire me every day, I find joy in simple moments—taking morning walks by the beach, cooking with my children, or finding beauty in life’s little things.
Thank you for being a part of my journey!

The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others, and the most beloved of deeds to Allah is happiness that you bring to a fellow Muslim, or relieve him of distress, or pay off his debt or expel from him hunger. For me to walk with my Muslim brother in his time of need is dearer to me than secluding myself in worship within the mosque for a month. Whoever holds back his anger, Allah will cover his faults and whoever suppresses his fury while being able to execute it, Allah will fill his heart with satisfaction on the Day of Standing. Whoever walks with his Muslim brother in need until he fulfils his need for him, Allah will establish his feet firmly on the day when all feet shall slip. Indeed, bad character ruins deeds just as vinegar ruins honey.’
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
